artist's statement
It is vital to my practice to contribute to a modern American theatre scene which makes theatre’s relevance essential and immediate. I believe in a universal American theatre which allows for artists throughout the country to be involved in high-quality artistic processes and productions which elevate the artform. Variety is a key aspect of a theatregoers diet, and it is my responsibility to produce theatre which exposes audiences to the unfamiliar and uncomfortable. Audiences deserve work of diverse forms, challenging material, biting relevance, and timeless truths. I will contribute to a living evolution of theater and my audience, creative collaborators, and myself will be trained to develop a hunger for more.
